With over 25 years of experience advising clients, Ed Dougherty is a Financial Professional with Berthel Fisher & Co. and Wagner Investment Group.
Operating out of the BFC headquarters building, Wagner Investment Group is an independent, hybrid office headed by 35-year BFC veteran Suzanne Wagner—whom Ed first met 17 years ago while co-hosting business retirement presentations. Today, Ed and the five-representative team provide comprehensive portfolio management, commission- and fee-based advisory services, along with insurance and estate planning for both existing and new clients.
Originally hailing from the East Coast, Ed and his wife returned to Iowa in 1998 to raise their family. They are proud parents to a son (a UNI graduate who is married with two children, a boy, and a girl) and a daughter (an ISU and UPenn graduate working as an Animal-Centered Industrial Designer). Both children currently reside on the East Coast.
A resident of Lisbon since 2001, Ed spends his free time updating his 1876 Queen Anne Victorian home, playing golf, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. Dedicated to his community, he served on the Lisbon CSD Foundation Board for over two decades, helping award scholarships to local graduating seniors before stepping down in 2026.
